School Exclusion Day is February 19— Make Sure Your Child Can Stay in School!

Don’t let missing vaccines keep your child out of school!

In Oregon and Washington, students must have up-to-date immunization records to stay in school or child care. If their records show missing vaccines and they don’t have an exemption, they won’t be allowed to attend starting Wednesday, February 19.

Important Dates to Know:

📅 February 5, 2025 – Families will receive exclusion warning letters from local health departments. Schools and child care centers will also get copies.

📅 February 19, 2025School Exclusion Day – Children who are not up to date on vaccines will be sent home until records are updated.

Vaccines help protect against serious diseases like measles and whooping cough and keep our communities safe. Every year, thousands of children are kept out of school until their immunization records are brought up to date.
