Education/Background: Joined Aledade in 2021 as the West Coast Regional Medical Director, working with independent primary care and multi-specialty clinics, Federally Qualified Health Centers, and Rural Health Clinics across California, Oregon, and Washington to help them adapt to and succeed in value-based care and payment. Prior to coming to Aledade, in addition to caring for his patients Dr. Saulino taught in Portland, Oregon at a Family Medicine Residency serving an economically and culturally diverse patient population. He worked with the Center for Outcomes Research and Education, and served as a Clinical Advisor for the State of Oregon’s Primary Care and value-based payment transformation efforts. Dr. Saulino has also held several leadership roles with the American Academy of Family Physicians and served as Board President of Doctors for America.
Dr. Saulino received his undergraduate degree from the University of California - San Diego, his medical degree and PhD in Microbiology and Microbial Pathogenesis from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and completed his Family Medicine residency training at Oregon Health and Science University.
