PSA: Open access for students to come in for comprehensive well-child checks prior to starting sports next week

HOOD RIVER, Ore., Aug. 6, 2016 — With fall sports kicking into gear, Hood River County School District and local medical providers are encouraging students to get up-to-date with their well-child checkups prior to participating in fall sports.

Students should see their regular primary care provider for this visit whenever possible for continuity of care.

One Community Health has set aside special hours next week for students needing well-child checkups prior to participation in sports.

Students who do not have a primary care provider or have barriers to accessing care can make an appointment and come next week to One Community Health in Hood River.

Appointments are available August 8-12, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

When school is back in session, any in-district student may also make an appointment at One Community Health’s School-Based Health Center, located at Hood River Valley High School.

To schedule your appointment, please call: 541-386-6380.

(For more information, please call 541-386-6380.)
