Farmworker Fundraiser 2023

Every year, over 6,000 migrant farmworkers and their children and families travel to the Columbia River Gorge to harvest cherries, pears, and apples. Farmworkers are the backbone of our food system and essential to our local economy, yet they often struggle to make ends meet.

One Community Health was founded in 1986 to provide healthcare to farmworkers. Today we continue that mission by advancing health and social justice for our farmworker neighbors, family members, and friends. As part of this effort, One Community Health has for many years held an annual food drive to support farmworkers as they arrive in the Gorge. Funds raised will provide grocery funds for farmworkers, distributed at the end of June, when Gorge area harvest is projected to begin.

We are accepting monetary donations only this year, as this allows farmworkers purchase culturally-appropriate foods that meet their needs. You can donate online by clicking the button above. Your charitable donation is tax-deductible.

Donating through OCH's website is easy, and you can ensure your donation is applied to the food drive by typing "Farmworker Fundraiser 2023" in the online form
