Migrant Farmworker Food Drive

Every year, over 6,000 migrant farmworkers and their children and families travel to the Columbia River Gorge to harvest cherries, pears, and apples. Farmworkers are the backbone of our food system and essential to our local economy, yet they often struggle to make ends meet.

One Community Health was founded in 1986 to provide healthcare to farmworkers. Today we continue that mission by advancing health and social justice for our farmworker neighbors, family members, and friends. As part of this effort, One Community Health has for many years held an annual food drive to support farmworkers as they arrive in the Gorge. All money raised is given directly to the Columbia Gorge Food Bank to fund culturally-appropriate food that is distributed in food boxes, at local food pantries, and at outreach events in the community.

We invite you to support your fellow community members by contributing what you can to our food drive!

We are accepting monetary donations only this year, as this allows the Food Bank to purchase culturally-appropriate foods. You can donate online by clicking the button at the top of the page. Your charitable donation is tax-deductible.
