NorthShore staff recognized as University of Washington Clinical Instructor Teaching Faculty

White Salmon, WA, February 9, 2018: NorthShore Medical Group, a community-based practice serving all of the residents of the Columbia River Gorge regions, is pleased to announce that Liette Witherrite, MD and Christopher Samuels, MD have been officially recognized as Clinical Instructor Teaching Faculty with the nationally recognized University of Washington School of Medicine. They join NorthShore provider Dr. Troy Witherrite who became a Clinical Assistant Professor with UW in 2016.

NorthShore is committed to providing comprehensive care for the communities it serves, helping individuals and families achieve good health and wellness through a network of dedicated healthcare providers recognized as leaders in their areas of practice. By partnering with UW to provide instruction and hands-on training of future physicians, NorthShore is equipped with the latest medical research and techniques in order to provide exceptional care to our communities.

Dr. Samuels believes that rural family medicine is all about the members of a community taking care of one another. For health care providers, that means serving people you depend on and respect. For patients, it means receiving care from people you know and trust.

Dr. Witherrite was drawn to family medicine for the diversity and the focus of caring for the “whole person.” She learns every day from her patients and feels honored to care for them at each stage of their lives. She also loves practicing in a community very close to where she was raised.
