Give Kids A Smile®: Celebrating Children’s Oral Health February 5-9

Two young children with dark hair make silley faces.

During the month of February, dentists across America volunteer their time to provide educational, preventative and restorative dental services to children from low-income families. This program, called Give Kids A Smile®, is an annual initiative to improve children's oral health.

This year One Community Health (OCH) is expanding this annual “Dental Day” into an entire week.

During this week-long event February 5th through 9th, OCH will dedicate dental care to established patients between the ages of 1 and 14.

Some of the dental services that will be provided during this event include routine check-ups, teeth cleaning, fluoride treatments, and fillings. These services are important for maintaining good oral health and preventing more serious dental problems down the line.

In addition to providing dental care, OCH will also be offering education on proper dental hygiene techniques. This education will include tips on how to brush and floss effectively, as well as information on healthy nutrition for maintaining strong teeth and gums.
